<p>A week ago I visited a friend and snapped this picture.  (I tried to get a couple pictures of her chickens, but they weren&#8217;t suffering me to get close enough for the camera I had on hand.)  The blossom itself was a very vibrant purple, nearly magenta color.  Unfortunately, that seems to be about the most difficult color for a digital camera to register properly; as a result the original photograph is almost painful to look at.</p>
